Summary:
Tim Tyler takes a trip to Africa to search for his lost father, a noted scientist who had gone to the gorilla country to continue his research. Tim stows away on a river steamer, here he meets a beautiful young woman named Lora Lacey, who is on a quest of her own. She is seeking a notorious criminal named Spider Webb, a long-time adversary of Tyler, and perpetrator of a diamond theft for which Lora's brother was framed. Once in Africa, Tim is briefly reunited with his father, but the scientist soon dies from gunshot wounds inflicted by one of the Spider's henchmen during a struggle in the elephants' graveyard, where Spider and his gang were looking for a hidden cache of ivory. In an exciting climax, Tim and Lora, along with the aid of some native and animal friends, are able to defeat Spider, vindicate Lora's brother, and share in the ivory treasure. 12 chapter serial.
