Summary: On April 14, 1912, the R.M.S. Titanic struck an iceberg on her maiden voyage and foundered within two hours. The American government held a series of hearings to investigate the disaster, chaired by Senator William Alden Smith of Michigan. These hearings were open to the public and filled with eyewitness accounts representing several different points of view. In this video, an all-star cast portrays the actual testimony.
